Should You Provide House Cleaners with Equipment Or Not?

One of the first questions we often get asked when people call in to book their cleaning service is should I provide my house cleaners with equipment? This really depends on what type of cleaning service you’re booking, and what your preference is.  

One-off Cleans Vs Regular Cleaners  

At Absolute Domestics we offer one-off cleans and regular house cleaning. With the one-off cleans these are performed by specialist spring cleaners, it’s the service you book when you are looking for a big clean reset. Often booked for move in or move out cleans, spring cleaning prior to events and bond cleaning.  

With one-off cleans Absolute Domestics cleaners provide their own products and equipment, the reason for this is they are performing specialist cleaning often in homes that might be empty prior to the owners moving out or moving in.  

Whereas for our regular house cleaning service, the cleaners use the products and equipment you have in your own home. There are a few reasons for this.  

Hygiene  

It’s more hygienic for our cleaners to use your products and equipment, when you think about it you wouldn’t want a cloth that had wiped down some stranger’s bench wiping down your bench. Using your products and equipment keeps things more hygienic.  

Personal Preferences 

 By using your own products and equipment our cleaner can maintain your home with products you like. Some clients prefer homemade cleaning solutions, others like specific brands or even have allergies to specific products.  

Different Homes Equals Different Equipment  

At Absolute Domestics we understand that each home is unique. Every home has its own quirks and requirements, the products and equipment you’d use to clean a marble floor are different to what you’d use for vinyl floor. By working with your personal cleaning equipment and products our cleaners can tailor your cleaning service to your needs.  

Expert Advice on Products  

What happens if you’re not sure what kinds of cleaning products and equipment works for your home? Not to worry our cleaners will be in touch to discuss your regular cleaning booking, and they can advise you on which products and equipment they will need to complete the cleaning you have requested.  

Because your service is completely customisable your cleaner can customise all the products used as well. Depending on the cleaning tasks assigned and the goal for each clean, your cleaner can give advice on products and equipment that can help you get your home in tip top shape.  

What if you want your cleaner to provide products and equipment?  

Some clients don’t want to provide products or equipment for their regular cleaning service, and that’s okay. We offer the option of having your cleaner provide products and equipment for an additional $15 per service.
