In this Absolute Domestic’s tip Carol shows us the best and easiest way to clean your kitchen bin, avoiding nasty bin odours and bin bag breakages.
A pedal operated bin is preferred, and is very hygienic because your hands don’t have to come in contact with the bin lid, which can transfer nasty bacteria.
If you prefer bins with swinging or lift tops, you should regularly wipe the top of the bin and the outside bin area.
Daily emptying of the bin is ideal, and should become a regular process in your housework. Before replacing the bin bag sprinkle some bi-carbonate soda in the bin which will absorb smells and moisture.
Pay more for quality bin bags to avoid rips and breakages, spilling garbage and bin liquids.
